Well I’m back again and this blog should be very interesting… I went to Glastonbury.
When I first found out that I was going to Glastonbury I was really excited and could not wait to go. I was really looking forward to seeing all of the different acts and as it is one of the biggest music festivals in Europe, I felt very privileged to get the opportunity to go.
The main reason me, Kylan, Gordon and Tom went to Glastonbury was to volunteer in the Green Futures area. This is a really cool part of Glastonbury and there were a variety of different acts going on all the time. From bands playing to acrobatic shows. We had many different odd jobs from filling up urns so performers had hot drinks, to sorting the recycling centre in the Green Futures area. Lets just say although sorting the recycling was good as I felt I was contributing to a good cause, some of the things in the bin were not the nicest to sort through… and defiantly not recyclable!
As well as volunteering we also got plenty of time to go and see all the acts we wanted to see. I really enjoyed watching all of the acts that I watched. The Killers were probably one of my favourites and the atmosphere when “Mr.Brightside” came on was indescribable! It would be very hard for me to pick one act specifically that was my number one favourite as they were all really good.
Although I had a really good time the whole time I was there, the only thing I didn’t enjoy was the toilets but I’ll leave that there!
The reason this blog is so short is because most of the experiences I had at the festival I could not possibly put into words as it was so good and the best atmosphere I have ever been in. So I hope you have enjoyed this quick blog and I’m sure you’ll here from me again soon.
