Bushcraft

Bushcraft and outdoor skills are increasingly recognised as essential aspects of development for children. The activities promote physical fitness and environmental awareness, provide children with valuable life skills, and promote mental health and well-being.

Our Push Positive programme aims to improve teamwork, resilience and communication. Pupils develop skills in fire lighting, shelter builds, whittling and the safe use of knives, cooking, creating their own cordage and boot camp fitness activities. The project supports groups of 10 and runs over a full term. Each session lasts one hour, and is delivered by two qualified staff members. A member of the school staff will also be on site. All materials are provided.
