20Twenty Productions has taken on young volunteers to help out with our Youth Theatres, Wellbeing Ambassadors and other events.

How will they benefit by taking part?

  • Developing skills and confidence in valuable technologies
  • Developing such essential skills as problem solving, critical thinking and leadership
  • Developing self-belief and self-esteem
  • Being able to balance personal needs with the needs of our environment

What we have achieved this year:

  • Taken on 33 volunteers to achieve a combined number of 1,680 hours of volunteering
  • Supported 2 local sixth forms with Social Action projects
  • Ran an NCS program supporting over 50 students
  • Attended 6 networking sessions and other events to improve volunteering and social action opportunities for young people

“The students had the option to do a literature festival where students started to plan the activities which they wanted to deliver to the primary phase pupils. Seven Year 12 students took on the roles of the Gruffalo, the mouse, the snake, the owl and the fox, with two additional directors. Five months of planning, practising and preparation led to a performance, alongside a day of enrichment activities, with the whole of the primary phase. The Year 12 students said they thoroughly enjoyed the activity and the support from 20/20 was amazing, any questions or anything we needed was quickly addressed.”
