Young Author
Young Author is a project that supports children in years 4 or 5 to write and illustrate their own story. At the start of the project children have an online visit from a well-known author. They provide advice on devising and writing stories. The children write their story and send them to 20Twenty to produce in print.
Next, children then have a workshop with our Graphic Designer and Illustrator who demonstrates how to illustrate stories using ProCreate. Finally, the stories are edited professionally and printed in a professionally bound class book.
Each participating child receives a book at a book signing event held in your school.
This is an Explore Arts Award project and as such, each child receives an accredited Arts Award certificate.

Teacher Feedback
“We had a hugely positive experience working with 20Twenty productions to write, illustrate and then sign our own anthologies. The project was well-designed and organised by the team of people who led it. It was wonderful to see the students of Year 5 feeling that they were real authors and had true ownership over the stories and illustrations. There was a buzz of excitement about this project and I hope it is something the students will remember for years to come. As teachers, we feel that it was a very beneficial curriculum enrichment activity and one that we would gladly participate in again” – Teacher, The Lantern Primary School
