Rock Band

This engaging multi-week project helps children build confidence, while learning to play an instrument or sing as part of a band. Schools can choose between a celebratory concert performance or filming a music video that showcases the children’s hard work.

What will your class do?

Your class will:

  • Form bands of up to 9 students
  • Each student will learn to play a new instrument (guitar, bass, keyboards, drums, or sing)
  • Each band will learn one pop or rock song

What will your class create?

Your class will:

  • Bands will have the opportunity to perform their song at a school concert, either for peers, parents and carers, or both
  • If a concert feels overwhelming for the class, each band can instead create a fun music video of their song

How will they benefit by taking part?

  • Each student will gain new skills on their chosen instrument
  • Support and develop personal wellbeing
  • Boost self-confidence and self-belief
  • Boost social, listening and teamwork skills
